At the start of the new academic year, the International Relations Office organized another in a series of events, starting with the welcome and orientation session for incoming international students in 2024/2025.
This semi-annual event, organized at the beginning of each semester, gives international students the opportunity to meet each other and at the same time get instructions and experience the academic environment of the University of Belgrade at the start of their mobility. The orientation was attended by nearly a 100 students from Germany, Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, Spain, Italy, Scandinavia, Russian Federation and the Western Balkans Region. The representatives of the International Office of the University of Arts took an active role in organizing the cultural events for international students with Belgrade’s IRO representatives, such as visits to museums and galleries in Belgrade. The students were also welcomed by Erasmus+ coordinator at host faculties and institutes within the University. The International Office introduced students to upcoming activities and plans for the upcoming semester, while the representatives of the Erasmus Student Network, who both universities have cooperated with for a number of years and who provide support to incoming students through their buddy system, presented their plans for social activities in this semester. The International Relations Office will continue to organize various cultural and social activities aimed at incoming international students of both the University of Belgrade and the University of Arts throughout the semester, promoting examples of good practice in inter-university cooperation of the two state universities.
